We provided marketing advice and coaching to Johannesburg-based entrepreneur Carmen Sundelowitz as she launched a new kid’s activewear brand to compliment her already successful kids swimwear brand, Spurt.
Carmen own the rights to the Spurt brand for over twenty years and have built up a loyal following at schools and clubs countrywide looking for quality, affordable swimwear. Given her knowledge of the school sports market, and the seasonality of swimming, she wanted to start a new brand targetting general activewear sells year-round. She decided on the name Kikx.
For three months, we helped Carmen develop a new brand and develop a marketing strategy. We guided a graphic designer as they fleshed out the look for Kikx; offered input into a social media strategy helped define the approach to e-commerce and outlined a promotional calendar for the brand.
