Challenge

Code is an apparel retail brand targeting the aspirational millennial male consumer across Southern Africa. There was a need to refine and formalise the brand story to ensure consistency across all marketing activity and maximise impact. Secondly, a marketing campaign needed to be launched quickly to test the brand concept for further development

What we did

  1. We interviewed the business owner over several sessions to get a clear picture of the brand concept.
  2. We also worked closely with the internal marketing and design team to help them formalise a set of brand guidelines to capture the story and visual look of the brand.
  3. Finally we helped the internal marketing team to kick-start a social media campaign on Facebook and Instagram.

Outcome

Since our involvement when the brand was purely in concept phase, it has now rolled out to national store footprint and over 100 000 followers on Facebook.
